GIBSON’S CASE RAISES A BIGGER QUESTIONS

First and for most, all men should really listen to this song:

Everyman needs a prenuptual agreement.

Now I feel sorry for Mel Gibson, yes I said it. I have never understood the legal argument to why the less renowned devorcer, who hasn’t been a creative force in the divorcee’s career is entitled to extortionate amount of the divorcee’s fortune.

If I was married and I wrote and directed a very successful film tomorrow, why should my wife get any of that money if she did not provide anything material to the production of that film?

Yes you could say she kept the home and she looked after the kid, fair play, but did I not provide the finances to make sure she lived comfortably and saw to it that the kids wanted for nothing?

There was an argument made by Heather Mills that he was entitled to Sir Paul’s loot because she became used to her life syle. This is a reason to rob a man (or women in some cases) of there hard earned cash? Seriously folks, why don’t we respect the producers in these instances?

So Mel, even though you are a bigot, I am rooting for you in this fight. I hope to god the judge, or who ever has the last word sees reason to not reward this woman a penny.

How do you know that Robyn didn’t contribute. She could have been a sounding board for his ideas, she could have hosted his business dinners. Heck, given his history of substance abuse, she could have been the one that kept him sane so he could make all that freakin money. In fact she said he kept her sane.

It’s not like Robyn married Mel when he already had millions of dollars, she married the guy when he was an unknown actor and stuck with him for 28 years giving him 7 freakin children.

Besides when a woman gives up her career so that the man’s children could be taken care of doesn’t that matter, when she provides him with a comfortable home where he can relax and think doesn’t that matter.

Now if Mel had came into the marriage with all that money it’s a different matter. But that’s not the case here. Robyn married him when he had next to nothing.

I am not making this a male Vs female debate, I am just saying that in a court of law, how can you say a wife or husband deserve x amount.

My mother raised me and my two sisters and still pursed a career, so I believe that argument is false.

I just don’t think is fair that someone who produces creative material should give up x amounts of money from the gross profit of that material unless it can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that, that person contributed.

And just because Robyn married him when he had nothing, doesnt give her the right to take the mans money.
